David asked to be 2011 NATS Master Teacher!

The National Association of Teachers of Singing has asked Professor Small to serve as a Master Teacher for their intern program in June 2011. The event pairs a master teacher with 3 interns (4/12 altogether). The interns are each given two students whom they teach on alternate days as the master teacher and other two interns observe. Following each 45 minute lesson, there is time allotted for the MT to comment and offer suggestions on the teaching.
Afternoons are devoted to special presentations by the master teacher (one by each teacher, on the topic of his/her choice). Each teacher also does a public master class with his/her interns.
